Our Careteam

  • Destini A.
    Veterinary Assistant

Destini was born in Branson, Missouri, where she developed an intense love of medicine early on in life. As she got older, her interest in biology started to blossom. Now, Destini gets to combine her love of medicine, her fascination with science, and her passion for pets as a Veterinary Assistant!

Destini graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in X-ray technology, then took a position here at Heritage Animal Hospital South as a receptionist. She began to work her way into the medical side of the clinic and has since become a Veterinary Assistant. Examining samples under the microscope is one of her favorite things to do, and she’s also fond of helping out with surgeries.

Destini, her husband, and their two sons share their lives with a trio of pugs: Jackson, Trinity, and Opie. They also have a Rottweiler/Labrador mix named Morgan and a cat named Mecko.

  • Hunter B.
    Kennel Attendant

Hunter is one of Heritage Animal Hospital South’s Kennel Attendants, and has worked here for nearly a year. She’s thrilled to contribute to the well-being of the area’s pets alongside her mother, who also works here at the clinic!

Hunter tends to the clinic’s boarding pets on the weekends and loves interacting with each and every animal who stays here. It’s not all fun and games, though—once, a huge Great Dane accidentally trapped Hunter in the corner while he was eating, and Hunter had to call someone to come let her out!

Hunter grew up in Terre Haute with her sister, Paige, and cheers for her local high school. Her family shares their home with two loveable dogs, Sparky and Mugsy.

  • Maggie B.
    Receptionist

Maggie and her family keep two dogs of their own at home, so she knows just how important pets are. Being able to give something back to animals by working at a veterinary clinic is very rewarding for her!

Maggie is a Terre Haute native, and lived in Florida for a short time before returning to Indiana. She joined the Heritage Animal Hospital South team in February of 2012, and especially enjoys watching pets grow up over time. She’s proud to work alongside her skilled coworkers, and truly considers them a second family.

Maggie and her husband have two children and share their home with Mugsy, a diabetic puggle, and Sparky, a lovable yellow Lab. Most of Maggie’s free time is spent watching her kids perform at their various activities—her oldest cheers for a local high school, and her youngest cheers, dances, and plays basketball!

  • Nicole P.
    Kennel Attendant

One morning, Nicole heard a knock at her door. It was a girl with a puppy, who said she couldn’t keep the animal. Nicole couldn’t turn her away—she ended up adopting the puppy and bringing it here to Heritage Animal Hospital South for its first appointment. As fate would have it, Nicole ended up applying for a job and has been here ever since!

Originally from a small town in Indiana, Nicole started here at the hospital in August of 2012. Her favorite part of the job is the differences in animal personalities that she gets to witness firsthand.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, their child, and their dog. She also likes outdoor activities like fishing and camping.

  • Sarah C.
    Office Manager

Sarah has been with Heritage Animal Hospital since July of 2017. She hired in as a receptionist for our south location. Soon after, she was promoted to office manager.

Sarah has always had a love for animals. She started working after school at the Clay County Humane Society from age 11 to 17. After high school she attended Saint Mary of the Woods College where she doubled majored in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Upon graduation in 2011 she became a CADAC II certified substance abuse counselor and worked for Putnamville Correctional Facility in their in-patient CLIFF program. While at Putnamville she volunteered with the Prison Greyhound Program. After 3 years of substance abuse counseling she decided she really wanted to work with animals again. She found a position at Four Loving Paws Veterinary Services in Brazil, Indiana as an office Manager.

Now Sarah has found her home here at HAH and we are elated to have her! In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, camping, fishing, and kayaking. She shares her home with 4 English Bulldogs – Hank, Stella, Kipp and Betsy, and 6 cats – Skeet, Jinx Monsoon, Baby Kidden, Lil Ninja, Violet Meowski, and Greyson.
